Analysis of car ownership in 2018, indicates 66.0% of households in Aorangi Forest had access to two or more motor vehicles, compared to 56.1% in South Wairarapa District.

Dominant groups

Analysis of the car ownership of the households in Aorangi Forest in 2018 compared to South Wairarapa District shows that 87.8% of the households owned at least one car, while 1.5% did not, compared with 89.2% and 4.3% respectively in South Wairarapa District.

Of those that owned at least one vehicle, there was a smaller proportion who owned just one car; a larger proportion who owned two cars; and a larger proportion who owned three cars or more.

Overall, 21.8% of the households owned one car; 44.2% owned two cars; and 21.8% owned three cars or more, compared with 33.1%; 38.5% and 17.6% respectively for South Wairarapa District.
