Occupation of employment

There were more professionals in Papakowhai than any other occupation in 2018.

Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Papakowhai in 2018 shows the three most popular occupations were:

  • Professionals (414 people or 31.7%)
  • Managers (246 people or 18.9%)
  • Clerical and administrative workers (171 people or 13.1%)

In combination these three occupations accounted for 831 people in total or 63.7% of the employed resident population.

In comparison, Porirua City employed 26.6% in Professionals; 16.5% in Managers; and 12.4% in Clerical and administrative workers.
