Smoking behaviour

In 2018, 7.2% of the population in Belleknowes were regular smokers.

Dominant groups

Analysis of smoking behaviour in Belleknowes in 2018 compared to Dunedin City shows that there was a lower proportion of people were regular smokers, a similar proportion of people who were ex-smokers and a increased by proportion of people who had never smoked regularly.

Overall, 7.2% of Belleknowes's population were current smokers, 22.7% were ex-smokers and 70.1% had never smoked regularly, compared with 11.6%, 22.4% and 66.0% for Dunedin City respectively.
