Dominant groups

Analysis of the language spoken by the population of St Kilda North in 2018 compared to Dunedin City shows that there was a similar proportion of people who spoke English only, as well as a similar proportion of those who spoke Māori, or Māori and English.

Overall, 84.3% spoke English only and 1.7% spoke Māori, or Māori and English, compared with 84.4% and 1.7% respectively for Dunedin City.
