Analysis of the language spoken by the population of Campus West in 2018 compared to Mount Cargill shows that there was a smaller proportion of people who spoke English only, as well as a smaller proportion of those who spoke Māori, or Māori and English.
Overall, 69.8% spoke English only and 1.2% spoke Māori, or Māori and English, compared with 86.0% and 1.8% respectively for Mount Cargill.
