Analysis of the weekly housing rental payments of households in St Kilda North compared to the Otago Region shows that there was a smaller proportion of households paying high rental payments ($600 per week or more), as well as a smaller proportion of households with low rental payments (less than $100 per week).
Overall, 4.5% of households were paying high rental payments, and 3.0% were paying low payments, compared with 17.3% and 5.5% respectively in the Otago Region.
The major differences between the housing rental payments of St Kilda North and the Otago Region were:
