Dominant groups
Analysis of the household types in the Dunedin City in 2018 compared to the St Kilda North shows that there was a higher proportion of one family households as well as a higher proportion of group households. Overall, 60.7% of total households were one family households, and 7.5% were group households, compared with 49.3% and 0.5% respectively for the St Kilda North.
There were a lower proportion of lone person households and a higher proportion of multi-family households. Overall, the proportion of lone person households was 26.8% compared to 40.8% in the St Kilda North while the proportion of multi-family households was 1.5% compared to 0.5% in the St Kilda North.
