Analysis of the five year age groups of Concord in 2018 compared to Waikouaiti shows that there was a higher proportion of females in the younger age groups (under 15) and a lower proportion of females in the older age groups (65+).
Overall, 18.6% of the female population was aged between 0 and 14, and 13.0% were aged 65 years and over, compared with 13.7% and 31.8% respectively for Waikouaiti.
