Dominant groups

Analysis of the ethnic population in North East Valley Knox in 2018 compared to the St Kilda South shows that there was a smaller proportion of people who identified themselves as European, a smaller proportion of people who identified themselves as Māori and a smaller proportion of people who identified themselves as Pacific Peoples.

Overall, 76.5% of the population identified themselves as European, 9.0% as Māori and 4.4% as Pacific Peoples, compared with 84.5%, 14.1% and 5.9% for the St Kilda South respectively.

The major differences between the ethnic groups responses of the population in North East Valley Knox and the St Kilda South were:
