Dominant groups

Analysis of the ethnic population in Mosgiel Central in 2018 compared to the Kew shows that there was a larger proportion of people who identified themselves as European, a smaller proportion of people who identified themselves as Māori and a smaller proportion of people who identified themselves as Pacific Peoples.

Overall, 94.0% of the population identified themselves as European, 5.5% as Māori and 1.3% as Pacific Peoples, compared with 87.2%, 9.0% and 4.3% for the Kew respectively.
