Analysis of the ethnic population in Mosgiel Central in 2018 compared to Broad Bay-Portobello shows that there was a similar proportion of people who identified themselves as European, a smaller proportion of people who identified themselves as Maori and a smaller proportion of people who identified themselves as Pacific Peoples.
Overall, 94.0% of the population identified themselves as European, 5.5% as Maori and 1.3% as Pacific Peoples, compared with 94.3%, 10.1% and 2.1% for Broad Bay-Portobello respectively.
