Dominant groups
The size of Wakari's labour force in 2018 was 2,268 persons, of which 528 were employed part-time and 1,626 were full time workers.
Analysis of the employment status (as a percentage of the labour force) in Wakari in 2018 compared to the Fernhill shows that there was a higher proportion in employment, and a lower proportion unemployed. Overall, 95.0% of the labour force was employed (64.8% of the population aged 15+), and 5.0% unemployed (3.4% of the population aged 15+), compared with 91.0% and 9.0% respectively for the Fernhill.
