Settlement history

Colonial settlement of the area dates from the mid 1800s, with land used mainly for farming. Some growth took place during the late 1800s and early 1900s. The most significant development occurred from the 1960s. The population increased gradually between 2001 and 2013 as new dwellings were added to the area.
