Dominant groups

Analysis of the car ownership of the households in the South Wairarapa District in 2013 compared to the Wellington Region shows that 90.1% of the households owned at least one car, while 6.0% did not, compared with 84.5% and 11.2% respectively in the Wellington Region.

Of those that owned at least one vehicle, there was a smaller proportion who owned just one car; a larger proportion who owned two cars; and a larger proportion who owned three cars or more.
